As we write these figures, we’re reminded how fortunate we are at Paradoxa.

Because let’s be honest: ours is a slightly improbable profession.

We’re invited into rooms, entrusted with audiences, and our mission is to surprise, to make people think, and sometimes to make them laugh.

That’s our craft: living off surprise and illusion, turning astonishment into a tool for sharing ideas, sparking participants’ curiosity by making them doubt what they think they’re seeing.

June 2026 reminded us that this profession has to be earned. A slightly mad month, full of endless journeys, stations we sprinted through, and equipment we carried and set up for the hundredth time.

The heatwave got involved too, bringing real tension with it: our clients worried about their participants’ comfort, our speakers had to work around the heat.

There were moments of doubt, a few surprises, and that particular kind of exhaustion that builds up when you give a lot of yourself, room after room.

But every time the lights came back up, that same little bit of magic happened. Faces relaxed. Smiles appeared.

A few fits of laughter backstage reminded us why we’ve been doing this job with passion for more than twenty-five years.

So no, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. But we know the value of what’s entrusted to us.
